  I would describe my Starfish experience as leaving your children with 'family' for the day! At no part of my day am I worried that they are not cared for, not engaged or challenged. Both my children have made life long friends with both their carers and fellow room members. Not only do they feel valued, but I feel valued as a parent. The staff take the time to talk to me about my child's day, both their trials & tribulations. I couldn't think of a better place to leave child when I'm at work; and let's face it, it is one of hardest things you will do as a parent when you go back to work - finding somewhere/someone to help your child grow and learn when you don't have the means to do so yourself. Thank you Starfish Blackburn, I couldn't do it without you!

  My daughter joined Starfish when she was 6 weeks old. Being a first time mum and new to child care I was very apprehensive cautious about centres. I viewed over ten centres but none of them came close to Starfish. Tonii and the team were so helpful and I felt that the level of service and detail was excellent - they were an integral part of me being able to return to work full time and maintain my career without ever having to worry about the level of care and education my daughter was receiving. After one of their sites was sold we remained on however it became apparent very quickly that the new management were a far cry from the high level of professionalism we had become accustomed to - within 9 months we returned to Starfish, willing to travel a bit out of our way to ensure education, cleanliness, care and attention to detail weren't compromised. The communication from educators is clear and positive, and offeted daily. Any issue is raised swiftly, with regular feedback and updates on our child offered (they offer funny anecdotes and observations, not just updates when there is an incident) and it is always timely, never days later or without context/relevance. Management give regular and informative communication and are always pro-active. A strong sense of community is encouraged, with fundraising and charity days supported as well as cultural diversity explored and promoted. My daughter graduated Kinder this week and the Starfish team have played a massive role in shaping her character and emotional well-being, and her intelligence. We are sad to leave this chapter of our lives behind and will miss the roles the members of the team have played in our lives over the past five years. They have moved from being service providers to a second family. The team are second to none and I couldn't recommend the centres more highly.

  We are so pleased to have found Starfish. The staff are extremely dedicated, caring and welcoming. Our little one is so happy and well cared for. The centre provides quality programs and a stimulating environment. Thank you!

  Highly professional yet nurturing, this day-care facility is the place to leave your kids for care. My daughter flourished into a happier child and I give credit to this day-care for the great start in making her so affable.
