Derby Street Children’s Centre is a not-for-profit, community-based long day care centre, licensed by the Moreland City Council and managed by a parent committee.

We offer fifty four long day care places (full-time and part-time) for children aged between 3 months and 6 years. We also offer a government funded sessional Kindergarten program with different day/times options to suit different family routines.

As an incorporated association we are obliged to follow the rules contained in our Constitution and the guidelines provided by our funding bodies, the Education and Care Services National Law Act and related regulations. The Centre works under the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood and Care and will be assessed under the new National Quality Standards from 2012.
