Wattletree Early Childhood Centre

Brisbane Child Care lists Wattletree Early Childhood Centre in Malvern, who continued to provide excellent Day Care care, education and support for the children and their families of Malvern Australia.

We would like to recognize the traditional owners of this land the Boonwurrung people on whose land we build our community on today.

The Centre is proudly community owned and operated as a non-profit service to the local community. Parents and staff, aim to build strong partnerships so that the centre is managed effectively, through the process of consultation and collaboration. The centre aims to reflect the values of the community in all its diversity, and is committed to excellence in the provision of care and educational programs.

We believe:

• that for children to engage actively in their environment and therefore in their learning they need to feel safe, respected and valued; they need to feel they belong;
• that a play based open learning environment supports children becoming competent and confident learners;
• that the environment presented to the children should engage the senses, stimulate curiosity, and encourage active exploration;
• that the learning experiences offered to the children should be drawn from a variety of methods. These would include observation of children’s needs and interests, spontaneous happenings, and  forward planning.
